The Science of Pokemon Is Coming To The Library

BENTON, KY – Have you ever wondered how Pikachu creates his lightning bolt or Charizard can shoot fireballs? Jason Lindsey of Hooked on Science will answer those questions and more when he presents his new Pokemon Science program at the Marshall County Public Library @Benton on Saturday, August 27, at 2:30 pm.

“We’re taking advantage of the new Pokemon craze and putting an educational spin on it,” says Beth Kerrick, Children’s Librarian at the Marshall County Public Library. “When you can relate the experiments back to something they’re interested in, they’re more likely to retain that knowledge.”

The library offers a variety of free educational programming throughout the year for children, teens, and adults. For more information on this program or to see their upcoming schedule, visit www.marshallcolibrary.org.
