Benton, KY – The Marshall County Public Library Young Adult program hosted its fifth annual End-of-Summer Mega-Event on Saturday, August 4, at the Benton branch. The program, which was called The Carnival of Dreams", was attended by over 35 students in grades 7-12 and featured a performance by Darshwood the Conjurer.
"The end of summer programs are a great way for students to reconnect with one another and hopefully find some new friends with similar interests before school starts back," says Tammy Blackwell, Young Adult Librarian.
In addition to the magic show, students enjoyed carnival-style snacks, games, music, door prizes, and a free photo booth. The event is the grand finale for the Young Adult Summer Reading Program, which attracted over 90 students this year.
