Benton, KY – It’s time to get creative with pumpkins at the library! Last Saturday patrons were invited to stop by the @Benton branch library for a pumpkin painting workshop with Ms. Beth, the Youth Services Librarian @Benton.
Over 30 community members stopped by to attend, which took place in the library’s meeting room. Attendees enjoyed festive snacks while the library provided paint, brushes and other art supplies for individuals to paint their pumpkins with.
The library is hosting a Pumpkin Painting Contest the week of Oct. 20th. Entries will be accepted Oct. 20-23 and judging will take place on Oct. 24th. Students in grades K-12 are invited to participate for a chance to win in the following categories: Scariest, Funniest, Staff Favorite & Technical Award.
