Local Library Gets Frozen

CALVERT CITY, KY – Disney may have released their mega-hit movie Frozen well over a year ago, but local kids are not quite ready to let it go as the Marshall County Public Library @Calvert City found out on Saturday, January 17. Approximately 300 patrons crowded into the library to meet Anna and Elsa and enjoy some Frozen-inspired games, crafts, and treats.
“We knew it would be a popular program, but we were still surprised by the turnout,” says Hayley Fountain, Children’s Librarian at the Marshall County Public Library @Calvert City. “It’s great that so many families were able to join us and see what an amazing library system we have here in Marshall County.”
Becky Smith, whose daughters, ages 3 and 5, attended the program, said her children enjoyed their afternoon at the library. “Frozen is a favorite at our house, so we knew we had to be here. The girls had a great time singing their favorite songs on the karaoke machine and getting to meet the princesses, and I enjoyed that it was a free program we could enjoy as a family.”
The Marshall County Public Library offers year-round programs for all age groups. For more information, please contact your local branch of the Marshall County Public Library or visit their online calendar at www.marshallcolibrary.org.
