Library To Host Free Session On Severe Weather
BENTON, KY – The Marshall County Public Library is participating in Tornado Awareness Month by offering a free Lunch & Learn program on Wednesday, April 15, on the topic of spring weather.
“In Kentucky we get a lot of different types of severe weather year round,” says Ginger Russell, Adult Services Librarian. “At the end of last year we offered a program on how to handle severe winter weather, which has certainly come in handy over the last few months. Now we’re focusing on spring weather, which of course means being prepared for tornadoes.”
Frank Murphy from Marshall County Emergency Management will be on hand to teach participants how to program their weather radio and give tips on how to keep their family safe in the event of severe weather. The program will last from 11 am – 1 pm. Lunch will be provided.
